Similar but better than the previous needle threader

I previously bought a similar Clover brand needle threader. Although this needle threader is slightly more expensive, it is more reliable the first time you thread it. You can see him threading the needle and if necessary you can pull out the thread before removing the needle from the needle threader. It is designed to work with needles of different sizes. I've had no problem with the needle threader accidentally cutting the thread like I have with the Clover brand. The housing is made of hard…

The Best Needle Threader

I like the consistency of this needle threader when threading needles. I have tried and own 3 different brands. This is my second purchase so I can have one in two places. Impressively, it can handle threads of multiple sizes, and the smallest needle eyes on the small-size side are impressive. If it doesn't thread on one side, move the needle to the opposite hole, making sure the eye of the needle goes in first, especially with thin needles. Most people who don't like needle threaders (like my…

THIS IS THE NEED YOU ARE LOOKING FOR

I am 61 years old and have been nearsighted with astigmatism my whole life, then became farsighted in my 40s and almost had to give up my favorite hobby, quilting. I like hand quilting, but it requires tiny needles with tiny holes. I've tried various types of needle threaders and "lightweight thread" needles, and none of them worked very well - either they broke easily or still had to be threaded between two very thin wires. With this device, you simply place a thread on the device. Insert the…

Absolutely crazy about sewing supplies and supplies

I was very disappointed with this product. I was looking forward to a needle threading solution that would help me with my beading projects. This item failed to thread a #11 Tulip needle (purchased from the same seller) with .006 Wildfire thread inserted into the small funnel. The packaging indicates that this needle threader will work with #1-11 needles. The "slider" part can easily go through a #11 needle if I don't use thread. However, when I inserted the thread into the thread holder (there

Works with fine needles

The product description says "This needle threader is designed to thread size 1 through 11 needles." It turns out (on the back of the box, not in the product description) that it is designed for needles with an elongated (oval) eye. I first tried the needle threader with a #8 oval eyed needle and it worked really well. For my fine appliqué needles it works great with a #9 and #10 oval eyelet and threads into a #9 round eye needle. My aging eyes and not so steady hands make hand threading the…

The best I've found for threading a needle

Of all the needle threaders I've used, this is the best. It has two sides for different size needles, which is an advantage when trying to thread smaller needles. The cutter has limitations. The needle threader only works with oval eye needles. If your needle eye is round, this will not work. Another thing is that you need patience. Follow the instructions carefully. You need to lower the needle into the slot. If you put it in a slot, you may or may not be lucky. Then you need to place the…
