I hope this review helps those ordering this remote and it doesn't work abnormally. First, understand that this remote should work with any Liftmaster or Chamberlin opener made in 1996 or later. But during this time, Liftmaster/Chamberlin changed the remote control interface technology there several times. You need to put the remote in the right mode using the small programming hole on the side. There are basically 4 modes, and you select the appropriate mode after using a paperclip to activate the programming mode. Each press of the button changes the mode, starting with 1, the most advanced mode, and progressively up to mode 4 (390MHz billion code mode). your remote control to exit. You can then pair the remote with the button you set the mode for earlier with your opener. All of these steps are documented in the included instructions, which I was able to skip on my first crawl.
