Decades old technology, the best in golf

Looking forward to it. ) and know my rider's speed is 100-108 depending on layers of clothing and outside temperature. Today after warming up (40 degrees out) and running an average of 101 on a GC quad I tried this product and set it up correctly as advertised (8-10 inches wide in line and 45 degrees back) and was able to didn't get it The device registers my speed over 85mph. The same model has been around for ten years, you'd think they'd improved the accuracy and replaced the cheap digital display. In dual tempo/speed mode. The display is very confusing and annoying. for 2 reasons1: So the timer is in hundredths of a second. If you're rocking at around 100 mph and your average pace is 1.00 seconds (like mine) the display will alternate between 2 numbers. One swing can be a 097 mph and 1.04 second swing, then the next swing can be a 102 mph and 0.98 second swing. So the speeds/times are similar and it takes time to sort out which number is which. 2: The second problem is the display speed at which the above numbers switch back and forth is very fast. The 2 numbers above change at practically lightning speed, so you can't even read them. You need to slow down the refresh rate to make each number stay on screen longer. Better yet, change the display design to show both numbers on the screen at the same time. The club speed is high and the pace is down. If you're swinging at a slower speed and pace then maybe it's less confusing as 2 swings could look like this? Swing 1:085 mph and 1.45 seconds and swing 2:088 mph and 1.42 seconds. With numbers like that, even with a quick update, you can't go wrong knowing you're not rocking in the high ranges of 145 mph+. But for golfers with 95-110 mph club speed with a predicted pace time of 0.95-1.10 seconds. You won't like messing with readings. Also, the button on mine was either broken or it took a lot of pressure to change the display. I think the plastic of the button seems to be rubbing against the screen. I had to push very hard to enter. Was going to do a lap tomorrow to have friends who weren't on my monitor test their speeds but as the number was so far away I sent mine back. I'll look into another small portable monitor. It would be nice if it worked.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Almost never
