Review on Eclipse HP-CS Value Set by Iwata with Hose Cleaner and Paint Kit by Gelin Battle

I just started airbrushing and bought the HP-CS based on numerous recommendations on various fishing lure forums. I wanted to start with something good, not something that disappoints me. The only tricky thing I had trouble finding info on was the 1/4 inch compressor end of the hose that came with it. I wanted to use a compressor that wasn't made for Iwata and after reading reviews, searching the internet for conflicting answers and contacting Iwata, I found that this was the way to go. This type of fitting is compatible with 1/4 in. male NPT fittings. The original male NPT fitting I had was used in the past and the threads were deformed in what NPT-NPT fittings should be. This prevented the hose from being easily threaded onto the old NPT fitting. When connecting the hose end to the new 1/4 MNPT fitting, it was pushed in by hand and the o-ring formed a seal against the threads. To help anyone, the fitting is not an NPT fitting, it is a compatible one. Many people have encountered problems when attempting to pair it with a workshop compressor and this may be due to the fitting having been paired with another FNPT fitting in the past.
