This is a really cool lock in that it's nearly pick proof, its' very strong, and it folds nicely. I have a similarly featured lock by Arotuta that wraps up into a cylinder but is also pick proof, strong and folds that I will use for comparison.Price:The Arotuta is currently less than half the price of the Foldylock. The price of the Foldylock is rather high.Storage:The Arotuta has a clip that fits a water bottle screw post or can be strapped to the frame. The lock folds into a cylinder that is easy to store. The Foldylock is designed to clip onto a belt. No mounting is provided. The lock folds flat but requires a rubber strap to stay in a flat shape.Length and weight:Arotuta is 78cm, 575 grams. The chain links are shorter and make for a rounder grab.Foldylock is 85cm, 998 grams. The chain links are about 18cm long and make a large hexagon.Security:Both locks have similar manipulation resistant keys. The Arotuta uses a round key and the Foldylock uses a key similar to a car. They are both a challenge to subvert and will deter joy riders. A determined thief can open the car style lock in a few seconds with a Lishi decoder. The point of this style lock is to deter and these manipulation resistant locks are both good for that. While both locks are good. I prefer the Arotuta over the Foldylock because it's lighter and can store tightly on the frame. I also prefer the looser loop it makes.
