Review on Streamline Butter Usage with KitchenArt 32000 ButterMate: White Plastic by Sarah Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

That's it! This is the one!

Tried several others. This one breaks easily (mine does NOT) but I'd happily buy a new one every year or so because it's so convenient. Cut, measure, store, WITHOUT GATTY FINGERS. Just slide it back into the fridge door when you're done. The ones I tried were with a red screw end that uses a large screw to force the oil out of the slot - that was great in theory, but too hard, in fact almost impossible to turn, was useless to me. And I tried the orange silicone which stored well but didn't cut as easily and once the butter was cut it was too difficult to pour. Also, the two parts of the device didn't fit together very well. For me this article is a miracle. I give them away so every kitchen I use has at least one. I have two of these, one for butter and the other for margarine sticks. I've had my original for over five years. If you're using rectangular (European) butter, I think you can still use that. All you have to do is cut the butter in half and pop half into this device. Measurements may be inaccurate as the butter is not an exact cube, I am not sure have not tested this. Then you'd save the other half of your pack of butter (or buy two of those, haha).
