I was about to buy one of the tree algae scrapers when I came across this one. It's not real wood, but it matches my coaster better in color, and the shape of this coaster is actually easier and nicer to hold. The magnets are very strong (don't let them stick together!) so the scraper slides smoothly into my tank without bouncing around at all. I have a 180 gallon tank with 1/2" glass. This will be a replacement for my pinball scraper that keeps bouncing/jerking and separating before floating into my stone work. With these magnets it doesn't have that Same problem and floats on the water surface for easy location.
