Don't worry, a high school student could have hooked up a better kit
I don't know who hooked up this kit, but it definitely can't be used as advertised. It has two separate switches, which makes no sense, and of course the cables aren't long enough to even remotely get from the bed to the motor. Look elsewhere for lighting for your truck body or an LED kit for this purpose.
