Review on Enhanced Pump 92060 Sump Alarm System featuring 15-Foot Tethered Float Switch by Doug Powell

Great product - we use it for our basement sewage pump. I took off a star because the installation isn't as easy as some of these reviews led me to believe - my plumber installed it and it took almost 2 hours. I think if you use it for a sewage pump it's more work than a drain pump. It's just water in the drain pump. There is waste in the sewage pump and you must fully close the lid to prevent sewage gases from entering the living space. Therefore, all pipes and cables entering and exiting the lid must also be treated very carefully to ensure there are no gaps for gas/odor to escape. He placed the float directly over the Meller pump, as recommended by the manufacturer, and to do this he had to dismantle the pipes and pull the pump out of the pit. We have tested this several times. This is a great product - love the test button and battery backup. When we tested it, I could hear the alarm very clearly from upstairs in another part of the house. I might as well install one in my basement drain pump, but this setup should be a lot easier.
