Enhanced Pump 92060 Sump Alarm System featuring 15-Foot Tethered Float Switch Review

Exactly as described and works great. I just hope it never runs out. My existing sewage basin in my basement had an alarm option as an add-on, but the builders abandoned that option. Anyway, I like this one better than hers and the price was definitely right.

The switch on our old alarm was a plunger and stopped working. I used it as a replacement and it works great. Basically a ball bearing in the switch that makes contact when the float goes horizontal. Make sure you leave enough headroom for this. Ease of installation. I cut the wire and screwed it into the existing wire coming from the house. The alarm is so loud I can hear it from outside.

Got the alarm yesterday so took about 90 minutes to install. Everything seems to work, but here are my caveats. Directions are terrible. You combine several steps into one and you have to decipher it from the pictures. I found a video online that was a little more helpful, but not much. Great product - we use it for our basement sewage pump. I took off a star because the installation isn't as easy as some of these reviews led me to believe - my plumber installed it and it took almost 2 hours. I think if you use it for a sewage pump it's more work than a drain pump. It's just water in the drain pump.
