My husband likes gadgets and is always interested in something new. When he mentioned taking the weighted blanket with him, I said he needed to keep it on his side of the bed. I didn't want any part of it. We sleep under a sheet and light blanket and I still have hot flashes - I didn't want a weighted blanket. I agreed to buy it because we could return it within 30 days. Well, guess what I like. We put it between the sheet and the duvet. I haven't had night flashes since we put him to bed. He read instructions on how to choose the right weight - we sleep on our sides and our joints hurt, so we bought a 15lb blanket. That's great. I don't move after falling asleep and that hasn't changed since the blanket. My husband fell and fell, always blowing up and rolling over (or so it seemed to me). I no longer notice his movements. I'm happy. I also like small ballasts. It keeps the "pearls" evenly distributed.
