The signs are designed with a lot of humor. They are well made and stick well to the car (where is the magnet, more on that later). In keeping with the humor, the words are smaller than those that just say "student driver" (effective but sadly boring). The shield is made up of high contrast letters and the usual warning tape design, so I think it's effective. Now some other reviewers complain that the magnet doesn't stick at all. Maybe I know what happened because it happened to me too. I was planning on putting the sign on the back of the car but my Prius was mostly plastic so it didn't work. Bumpers are also made of plastic! I put them on the side where there is good steel for safety reasons. They stick well if I place them in the right places. Anyhow, I can wholeheartedly recommend them. They can also be fun gifts (hint-hint).
