These boots are better than I expected. As some other reviewers have noted, getting the right size was a challenge. I ordered 11 for my husband (who wears 10.5 shoes) and they fit perfectly. I then ordered a size 8, but I suppose I should have read the sizing chart more closely to see if it was an 8 for men or an 8 for women. They were 1.5 inches too big. He used them to get to the coral reefs where the beach was very rocky and the coral reached to the water's edge. They worked very well. I tried on socks from other brands at a dive shop and found that other brands couldn't match the comfort of these socks. Some brands cost twice as much as this one. I'm not a diver so all I can say is snorkeling but I'll order the right size for me and my kids will use them too.
