Happy to have a Blink Mini in my house and have ordered two for outdoor security. When I saw this product I gave it a try and if it had worked I would have avoided external components. The best I could do was take photos. No motion could be recorded or detected when switched on. Obviously inside the glass you don't have any external sound. The instructions also say that you can peel off the tape and reuse it. I had to rip it off the window with a razor blade and destroy the tape. Comes with a spare adhesive strip. I'm going back to Revan. Worth a try but not recommended.
