Review on πŸ•’ Renewed Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 (45mm, Mystic Silver) by Shimamoto Tatsuki ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

I bought this watch after 2 years of using the first Watch. Happy with the purchase, many changes were expected. Perhaps the only complaint is a decrease in autonomy. My main use cases (maybe it will help someone make a choice): 1. Sports functions, all sports sensors and health sensors - really motivate you to go in for sports (especially when you look at the digitized dynamics of all these indicators, for the collection of which you do not need to do anything). 2. Notifications - the phone is usually on vibrate and somewhere in the bag / pocket. Especially comfortable in winter. 3. Music / audio books in the gym - only from the clock. 4. Music control when I listen from the phone (unfortunately the clock does not support LDAC and good music through good ears only from the phone). 5. Payment - by the hour in 99% of cases (although I ran into MST 3-4 times). 6. Alarm clock so that in the morning you don’t wake anyone but yourself. :) 7. Timer - from the clock while working on complex work tasks (the "pomodoro" technique - I have been using it for several years). 8. Calculator / Tip calculator / Currency rate calculator - I rarely use it, but usually it is very accurate (on holidays and business trips). 9. Talk on the clock. It happens when the phone is far away or the hands are dirty. 11. Plus, it's just a watch that can show the time. 12. And more . I like to change dials. I do this often and with pleasure :).

Pros
  • Solid appearance. The leather strap is very fitting. Look good with a suit. The watch is quite strong and resistant to all sorts of physical impacts: all-steel case, IP 68 water protection, MIL-STD-810G support. Support for BT 5th version. The presence of GPS - you can not carry your phone with you for jogging. You can pay for hours with Samsung Pay. A large number of sensors for measuring physical activity and health, including new ones: ECG, pressure measurement, oxygen saturation level. All work very worthy - they show values that are very close to medical devices. The watch is significantly more "responsive" than the first Watch. The interface is noticeably faster. The automatic activation of the screen "by gesture" began to work much better. Lots of built-in memory. More music and audio books can be taken with you. The screen became larger (although this is also a minus), I switched to a smaller font, more information was placed on the screen.
Cons
  • Battery life. No more than 3 days with automatic activation of the screen "by gesture". With the always-on screen - noticeably less. The package does not include a power supply for charging. In general, the packaging is much less solid than the first Watch. There is no feeling that you buy a solid watch for a lot of money. A strange decision to put only a leather strap in the kit for a sports watch. You have to fork out additionally for silicone. Chargers from previous watch models are not suitable. Some features are not available out of the box: ECG and pressure measurement. Samsung has not yet been fully certified and these functions do not work. Nevertheless, it is possible to install the software yourself and everything will work fine (the procedure is not very complicated, just "google"). Lack of support for MST payment terminals (although such terminals are extremely rare, in 2 years I was "lucky" only 3-4 times).
