I have to disagree with a few reviews that said that this item is difficult to install and/or cannot easily be attached to a junction box. I installed this unit on an exterior junction box (conduit junction box) that had a standard 2 bulb flood light on it, with a motion trigger. That light was awful - - - tough to install, not sensitive to movement, shuts off and difficult to get it to stay in the "always on" mode, and terrible light. this mount design might be ok for wall mount but not eave mount . trying to hold in place ,keep wires inside of small pocket /then start the bolt to hold it together is almost impossible ( limited room for wires ). the fixture has a recessed hole and you cant turn the bolt by hand to start ( BOLT SHOULD BE AN 1 INCH LONGER ) . supplied allen wrench is useless . i used a sheet metal screw to hold it together . so description should be easy installation wall mount but a lot harder for eave mount…

We use this floodlight as a security light in our back parking lot and it lights things up like a football field at night. We used to have suspicious vehicles park across from our rear employee entrance at night but not anymore since installed this very bright floodlight. Very pleased with this purchase.

We have a lot of wildlife that comes into our yard after dark and we needed a bright light so we could check the yard before letting our dogs out. This is the perfect answer to my problem. By adjusting the direction of the lights it covers a wide area with ample light for spotting bears, raccoons, possums, coyotes, etc. A great way to be able to spot critters that could harm our pets or be harmed by our pets.

i was replacing some old incandescent flood lights on the back of my house. standard variety.so i got these. everything was great and these are good. i guess 5500 lumens is not what i thought. it lights up my deck pretty good but that is about it. it is about 1/2 the old flood lights. they would partially light up my back yard. these will not. good lights but not enough light. i am going to look for 9k - 10k lumens.

The mounting screw was too short. The only way I could make it work was to flip the mounting plate, which made reattaching the ground wire an additional challenge. It's hard to believe the manufacture ever actually mounted one in a real world situation, or surely the mounting screw would be 1/2" longer. Once in place, fiddling with the adjustments was the next hassle. Then you find out the side lights are free to move vertically on their own, so I bet they will soon be sagging. Very bright…

I needed something for my back yard. I wired it up to a switch, drilled a hole and mounted it up. Once I got everything angled where I wanted it, I hit the switch and this thing just about melted my back yard with the amount of light it produced.My only real complaint is the swivel fittings themselves. They are kind of cheap and aren't particularly well designed for longevity so I wouldn't play with them very much.

Not a motion detection unit. This light is bright as hell. I was and am very impressed. Easy to install and easy to change where the light is shining. This is an outdoor fixture made to go on exterior walls that may be textured or not completely flush with junction boxes. The supplied main installation screw does not allow for that. Completely frustrating. Had to go to hardware store to get a screw 3/8 of an inch longer to make it work. They couldn’t just include a slightly longer screw in the box? Cheap. Don’t buy this light unless you need a very bright light. It turns night into day. I love it, but if you want a soft light this isn’t it.

Poor design if you have to install with only 1 hand while standing at the top of a ladder. I replaced an old globe porch light with 2 side spot lights. This unit is very bright and throws light way into the back yard. I like the fact it’s adjustable.

Very bright. I put 2 on opposite corners of the back of my home. The entire backyard is bright enough to play football in at night. Install is straight forward. Quality appears to be good as well.

This model does not have motion detection, which i did not want. I use this to illuminate my grill so i can cook under good lighting. Well, i could have probably bought the model that did not have the two extra lights on it, as this thing is BRIGHT! I feel like i am cooking indoors it puts off some much light. Love it.

I really like these floodlights, they've made such a difference. They are very easy to install; they come with all necessary hardware, and the assembly is quick and straightforward.One thing I do recommend for these and any outdoor fixture is to use some silicone sealant or equivalent to ensure water doesn't enter the top and sides; don't rely on the supplied foam gasket to seal to anything but a flat and smooth surface.

I like it. I have had two dual halogen fixtures on the under eave corners of my two story house for years. 300 watts per corner. These worked fine but as I got older, replacing bulbs on an extension ladder is too much. I bought and installed one of these and found it was as bright or maybe even brighter.
