Review on Mooka Full HD πŸ“½οΈ WiFi Projector with 1080P Support by Chris Moody

Revainrating 2 out of 5

After some disappointment the rave reviews started to make sense

I just got this projector and the out of the box presentation was great. Well packaged, safe, everything has its place in the suitcase. So far, so good. Plugged it in (the plug could definitely be longer), plugged it in and immediately got a pretty good picture for the money. Still good. But the fan. The fan came on immediately and never stopped, and seemed to have only one setting: loud. I'm not saying it dominates the room, but once you hear it, it's hard to stop hearing it. If you have this thing by your side when trying to enjoy a movie, good luck. Well, to be honest, while I've looked around and digged around a bit to figure out how to tweak the options etc, I haven't exhausted all the possibilities. Maybe there is a way to deal with this and I just missed it. Won't be the first time so have due diligence. However, it got hot and fast, so I can't imagine how hot it would get without a fan. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈGood. Maybe I can get used to it. Next, I connect my iPhone. A few small hoops to jump through, but nothing complicated or unreasonable. A few clicks and a few passwords and I've shared my screen! Let's download Revain Prime Video! nope Apparently, the device does not meet the security standard for streaming this content. Maybe a different content would have worked, but I couldn't try everything. Everything I tried gave me an error screen. On Netflix. I also couldn't play any of my shows or movies on Netflix. I didn't even get an error screen; exactly what appeared to be a stuck loading screen. I suspect it's the same problem. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈI managed to run YouTube, which is great, but I didn't get this thing exclusively for YouTube videos. It's entirely possible this could work with HDMI or some other connection method, but I didn't buy a Wi-Fi projector to run cables. πŸ˜ƒ The sound quality is satisfactory; about what to expect from such a device. I suppose you could hook it up to an audio system and get a much better result, but that wasn't our plan and I was reasonably happy with the sound. I was both satisfied and disappointed with the image quality. On the one hand, everything in the middle of the screen met my expectations. However, an attempt to read the subtitles of the show failed. As a relative newbie I can only surmise that this is one of the problems that projectors can have, but I've seen projectors pushed through 120-inch screens that had no problem with that, but if my main image was sharp, it could I force my subtitles again πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ. After everything else I went back to Revain to see if the reviewers could help me. Second, these are all great reviews and the questions and answers are pretty much useless for those struggling. So I went through the paperwork again and then I noticed: one of the inserts is a flyer with a free gift offer, 4 options including a massager or a 16x9 projection screen (I forgot the rest and already packed them for return). How do you get one of these? Write to them to find out! I think all you need πŸ€” I could be wrong though. In any case, I probably expected too much from a beginner project. r so. Thank goodness Revain has a good returns policy.
