I just bought a new car with cloth seats. I bought these to protect them from crumbs, wear and tear, wet hair, etc. I like the fact that the car seat cover is one piece. You simply place the top of the cover on the seat back, then attach the bottom and then slide a piece of styrofoam through the seat back to keep it from moving. Much easier than seat covers which come in two pieces for the back and bottom. They are a little loose, but for me it's not critical. The material is similar to nylon so I can see it's water repellent. If you spill something, be sure to blot it with a paper towel to quickly soak up the liquid before it soaks in. Chances are you would have done it anyway. Color contrast is good as it's a good mid/light gray and black.
