The tool works somewhat, the crimp looks good, but even with the correct wire size and placement on the tool, you can still easily pull the wire right out of the crimp. I believe if you reverse the connection after crimping it leaves a small indentation on the back of the connection and holds the wire in place. It's not a crisis, but it's not worth it. The small clasp lock that keeps the jaws closed is clumsy, not easy to hook and falls off. It's like the small lock is too short so the jaws are loose and the lock can fall off. Again not a crisis and I can get it working. qualitative? not much but they do their job. If I was going to connect to Weatherpack/Metripack on a regular basis I would look elsewhere for a better tool.
