Review on GE Projects Ceiling Operated 17457 by Ruby Moya

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Cute, simple, convenient, no need to turn off!

I love this thing! I'm sure I could have found a fancier night light but this is a really good choice and not very expensive. You turn it on and it stays on for a decent amount of time (30 minutes?). It projects stars and a crescent moon onto the ceiling in a bluish light similar to the color of ultraviolet rays. It's very wonderful because it's a nice soft color, but it's soothing compared to the pitch black darkness in the room. This creates a very calming mood. I love that I can turn it on and just go to sleep and it's off when I wake up. Or it tells me exactly how long I've been trying to sleep if it turns off while I'm still awake haha. I got it 9 months ago and haven't had to change the batteries yet. a little cheap in terms of. You have to press the purple part all the way down (ka-piece), which isn't difficult, you just have to be close to this thing to turn it on easily. Sometimes you have to double tap (first time to set a timer or something? I don't know). The stars and moon aren't very sharp, with blurred edges, and not very clear (no blobs, just no clear shapes) unless they're fairly high up. But they still look pretty. I would recommend buying them. I also like that it's very portable and apparently can be flipped around a lot. I took it on a camping trip once and it was quite fun to use to light up the tent with false stars. (I've added a picture of what it looks like when held close to a wall in the dark)

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Boring packaging
