I live off well water and buy bottled drinking water. I am 70 years old. Carrying 5-gallon bottles from a refill store and tipping them into a clay pot dispenser (on an upside-down stand) became tedious, expensive ($0.75 per gallon), and of course, I ran out of them right when I needed to fill my espresso maker coffee tomorrow. .I have replaced a single stage activated charcoal filter I had for 20 years to power my fridge ice maker and door water with this APEC RO unit. I also installed the included sink faucet to make water. I installed a reverse osmosis filter under the sink in about four hours where it took up about 1/3 of the space (which was fine as there was a lot of excess dirt under the sink anyway). - Instructions are good. - Good materials. - The sink faucet works very well and looks good. - No leaks through pressure hose connections. - Flushing when starting worked well. Just be patient as it will take a few hours. BEST OF ALL - my wife thanks me every day (literally) for the convenient and tasty water that never runs out. I'm just wondering why didn't I do this many years ago? :) :) :) :)
