I consider myself an enthusiast/most passionate photographer. Gear is important to me, as are fast SD cards. This is a UHS-II SD card and Sony has taken steps to improve its design. They even called this card a ROBUST SD card. It seems to be more durable than "regular" SD cards. It looks less fragile. It has no ribs to break near the gold contacts. It also lacks a write-protect switch, which I never used. For me it will not be missing. In terms of speed, marketed speeds are up to 300MB/s reading and 299MB/s writing. Please note that Sony charges additional fees for these cards. You have to ask yourself if you really need extra durability. You can buy cheaper Sony cards with the same read/write speeds. I have these cards and am happy with them. My recent memory card purchases have been Sony cards just because I wanted to try the Sandisk alternative. Sony did not disappoint me with my Fuji XT-2. So durability matters. Are you a professional shooter in the worst conditions? Have you ever cracked an SD card? Then this might be the card for you.
