I did not have any issues with rusted insides that others have reviewed. I'm guessing those were ones used for a season and returned. We bought for Christmas lights. Ours are set up by the house so they don't catch a lot of direct rain as they set under the eves. If they were in the middle of the yard, I would probably find a small plastic bucket to put over them to shelter the plugs from the rain. My only gripe would be 2 of them came with the same channel (ordered 3). We all get a remote and take turns turning on the different stations of lights. This killed that as 2 are turned on with the same remote. That'd be a bonus for some thought.
