Review on Moen 16090 Chateau Collection Chrome Escutcheon Replacement for One-Handle Tub and Shower Faucets by Roberto Garrido

Revainrating 5 out of 5

GREAT REPLACEMENT! OH MY GOD IT'S CHROME!

I used it to remodel a shower in a 1983 Moen installation when I needed to chip off all the old tiles and put new ones in place. Wall. I couldn't find this cap anywhere else but love the smooth and flat look, it's so clean with a good seal all around. The universal installation set from Danco is made of chrome-colored plastic and creates an unpleasant bubble shape in the shower. Of course not. Nothing pissed me off more than the plastic at Home Depot. THIS IS METAL! The old pad was some kind of steel but not chrome plated. I don't know how it was at the end of 1983. So it looked very disgusting, deposits and minerals, just bad. I wanted the same look again but when I discovered the CHROM finish from this seller I exploded with joy. I replaced it with this one and it looks so luxurious. Now it shines in this soul like a DIAMOND. Fits like a glove. Just look at my photos. The thing is so bright that I had to buy a new spout and a new shower head because I just love wearing it. I can also confirm that it comes with both seals. Removed with a napkin. What a fantastic product, great seller and got to me on a day in its prime. Home Depot can shove that Danko you know where.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
