Works very well. While not completely drip-free, they are nearly drip-free. Certainly a significant improvement over the old water silos. I fill/clean them in the kitchen sink and carry them right side up to another room with a few drips but no significant drain. The connecting parts are secure and once installed, all you have to do is remove the silo itself to clean and refill. The colored base of the combi container is firmly fixed and can be removed from the outside. Best of all, they don't pick up as much dirt as open water tanks. As with all birdhouses, consider the location carefully - close enough to be used but out of reach of seeds, plant debris and excrement.
