I have purchased many of these cables from another company and installed. This one seemed great for a fraction of the price so I'm struggling with that. After installation, I reconnected the battery and wiring harnesses to the battery, the fuse blew automatically. All connections checked and replaced with a new fuse. This time the cable started smoking and then caught fire, thank goodness I had water nearby and I quickly disconnected the battery with a ratchet. Further inspection shows that the wires coming out of the relay under the protective cover were not properly insulated and were making contact with each other. It's just awful because you can't pre-check it, so assume everything is fine under that protective coat/jacket. A massive disappointment that could have destroyed my car. just said. They have released a replacement and I will carefully review it. If this wiring is of poor quality and the same thing happens again, then I'll just tell everyone: spend the extra money and buy from a reliable company.
