Review on πŸ’» M.2 2280 SSD Heatsink Cooler, Thermalright Dual-Sided Heat Sink with Thermal Silicone Pads for Gaming PC, PS5, M.2 PCIE NVMe SSD, M.2 SATA SSD-2280 by Jason Ortiz

Minimal investment to shave the tip a bit which helps

M.2 drives are still part of a market that's getting wet when it comes to cooling. Large drives are only now finally arriving in platter and heatsink formats, but even those are still a bit rare (maybe they'll become more common by the end of the year). They're on their own for now, mostly finding ways to keep those drives cool. So far, this appears to be an inexpensive way to achieve this. The temperature drop we've seen (so far) has stayed at around 10F. However, everything is important. It's better than nothing and the price seems right for what it does. It's enough to get noticed and that's what you're looking for. As for thermal throttling in these drives is still unclear, but you'll probably pay a little more attention to this issue with all PCIe. Fourth generation models are launched. Worst case, you're extending the life of your drive in terms of physical wear and tear.** If you found our review helpful, please vote below to let us know.
