They work great together with the 622c-TX transmitter. (Works with 80D and 580EX II.) When using the camera as a reference, a Canon brand unit may also be installed. All menu items light up and work as expected. On the slave side they don't seem to have any problem communicating with the 580ex II (despite weatherproof boot) and easily allow remote control of output, scaling, HSS etc. I tested with one of these with 622c-tx so the shutter is triggered and while it is running there seems to be a significant delay. (More than a few seconds.) Not sure if this is due to a 622cII issue, a 622c-tx issue on the camera, or the decision to use a trigger instead of a direct release cable. However, in its current state this would be great for photos, but the lag would easily result in dropped frames for anything action/movement related. Since I only wanted it for the flash, the shutter option was just a nice bonus, so definitely not a problem. (And it's impossible to do this ONLY with these devices as the shutter option is included in the 622c-tx device.) All in all a great setup for a fraction of the tax of a bag maker.
