Technical Viewpoint

This device makes extensive use of broadcast networks to carry data traffic. This blocks your network devices as they use high bandwidth/packet count. The solution is to connect using a single point-to-point cable, or if you want it to share your existing network gear, you'll need to configure a port-based VLAN or 802.11q VLAN on your switch to route traffic to isolate. Only managed switches support this feature. In addition, the product works quite well. Transmits HDMI audio, video and USB with imperceptible latency.
