The attached video is solid black walnut, 8/4" or 2" thick. The last blade came from my workshop, it's time to replace this blade. I was just blown away at how easy it is to cut 2β³ thick walnuts, hickory, maple and purple heart, all of which are extremely dense and hard. My jaw literally dropped when I made the first cut with this blade. I could probably slide a finger through wood with ZERO BLADE LIFT! Compared to my other blades, which frankly made me nervous every time, this blade is not only safer but also comfortable to use. It's expensive, but I'd rather feel the pain in my pocket and smile for a year than have a smile. once and be afraid to cut for a while. I could post a video along with the update, but if you're wondering if it's worth it, then it's worth it. In fact, you're only spending $25 more for significant security and easy cutting.
