I have a short haired dog and a long haired cat. The dog is afraid of this brush, although it is definitely not sharp. We rarely get a chance to use it on a dog, but when we do, this brush removes a TON of fur! Wonderful. The cat loves this brush. She will allow us to groom her for about 20 minutes and each time we will remove a strand of hair the size of a baseball. This is the best grooming tool we've ever used! The cat now has fewer balls of fur. I highly recommend this if you have a furry pet. This creates a bit of chaos, so get outside to tend them if you can.
