I've researched and searched forums looking for an action camera that fits my needs and I've found the perfect match. I've been through almost everything with this camera and it still works. I've dived over 100 feet (remember to bring a red lens filter), biked around Idaho, climbed high mountains, skied, snowmobiled, swum, snorkeled, run, biked, biked, sled driven, jumped off cliffs, put on drone (and crash the drone with it), cave tubing, river rafting, the list goes on and on. I'm not easy with hardware so I wanted the device to meet my needs. That, and if I did something like run it over or throw it out of a plane or who knows what actually destroys it, I wouldn't lose $100 like with GoPro, I would lose $100 or something. I actually bought another one for my wife and kids, which they are also testing. I have some SD cards that I am changing and an iPad that I can upload to the ismart dv app. All you have to do is set the camera to Wi-Fi mode, connect to it on your device, open ismart dv and upload photos and videos. I usually only edit on my iPhone or iPad with an image editing program. Then send it to family and friends and/or post it on Facebook or elsewhere. I ended up buying a large accessory kit with extra batteries for each camera. I've used almost all of the attachments and enjoyed all the options they give me to film all my adventures with family and friends. So many positives and few questions. I think the only problem I really had was a camera that didn't save the exact date for me whether I programmed it or not. The one I bought for my wife and kids keeps the date perfectly. I am currently working with the company to find this out and they responded to me perfectly and made sure to handle the situation which I VERY appreciate. The only other thing is the battery life but that goes for all devices, you will never get enough battery life so I just bring an extra battery as well as a portable charger. I can't say enough about this amazing little camcorder and everything I've been through just to get more out of it. THANK YOU AKASO and I will continue to share and buy for others. I own a computer/tech shop, so I research and work with a lot of problematic devices and don't have to worry about that. To play!
