Not great for vertical applications above 1lb
In theory, these are great. I intended to use them to hang a step stool on the side of my refrigerator, and the magnetic force is strong if you’re attempting to pull the magnet off the fridge, but’s it’s relatively weak if you slide the magnet around. So my 5 pound step stool slides down the side of the fridge instead of staying in place towards the top of the fridge. I’m not sure what I can do to prevent the sliding down. If I was hanging the stool from the hook suspended from the ceiling, these hooks would be perfect as their magnet strength is superb.
