I chose between this and another bandpass subwoofer - Alpine SBG-1244BP. As a result, I bought both)) because. both found with good discounts. And I use them not in the car, but indoors. They work with a 350W amplifier - Kicx AR 1.350, which is even a little extra power for them. Not once have I dared to turn them on to the fullest. Already somewhere at 30% of the power, all free-standing objects begin to ring and rattle, then I begin to worry about the structural integrity of the building and the nerves of my neighbors. In general, they have plenty of power even for fairly large rooms, not to mention car showrooms. If we compare them with each other (JBL GT-12BP vs Alpine SBG-1244BP), then I did not notice any fundamental difference in sound. Both press, God forbid! Unless, probably, the Alpine SBG-1244BP will be a little louder if you connect it to a less powerful amplifier. Outwardly, I liked the Alpine SBG-1244BP more: it has a better exterior finish and the interior, visible through the plastic window, is aesthetically pleasing than the JBL GT-12BP’s white-painted MDF, which I first mistook for foam. Their bass is very unique. I chose the position of the subwoofer in the room for a long time, because. if you put it wrong, then even at high power the bass itself is not audible, but everything around starts to vibrate and crackle.
