So this skirt fits best when it has a natural (or high) waist. The belt helped me a lot as it lost a bit of waist in the average size. I ordered a small and the waist fitted better but it shortened the length. My only complaint was that the top band is double fabric so it sticks out a bit in that thigh seam. I wish it didn't have that stripe/seam as most people don't want a horizontal line detracting from the waist (hence the belt so the eyes are on the waist). The fabric is nice and heavy so it stays down. Do you need an iron upon arrival. I'm pear shaped so a solid color block works best for me to keep everything modest as it's a shorter skirt. I'm 5ft 7in 160 and usually 8 or medium height. Perfect flash for me.
