I've bought dozens of power supplies for personal builds and builds for family and friends, and I've never bought a seasonal power supply. I've always heard that they have an excellent reputation for quality products so I decided to give it a try. Not only did the device not work when it arrived, but when trying to get my computer to boot with the power supply installed, it killed the two drives I had connected to it. Of course I will never buy a seasonal product again. As for replacing my drives and the device itself, we'll see how the after-sales service goes. I will update this review with the results. Product failures like this are an obvious quality control issue as I have NEVER had a miserable power supply failure in my years of building. UPDATE: I have contacted customer service and they will replace the unit assuming I pay $20 for shipping and handling but they do NOT replace drives which is not surprising but I decided to give it a try. So I was better off just sending the item back to Amazon to get my money back than just a replacement. I probably just got a bad block, but as I said, I've never had a PSU failure like this, so I have no choice but to recommend this PSU. It's one thing for a unit to die over time, but it could be DOA, meaning it's just a quality control issue, so it could easily happen again.
