Unusual power connection, unsuitable for personal use: Only buy with special YongNuo DC adapter or Sony NP-F batteries

I could not use this device when I received it. It comes without power adapter, without battery. It is compatible with all brands of classic Sony NP-F lithium-ion batteries. I bought it twice as a set and also got several universal power supplies for laptops with 5 amps and 19 volts. The missing information about this product power supply was almost worth it. me production as I shipped it worldwide and after 2 weeks of shipping it looked like it wouldn't work. See the attached picture to understand the power connection. Never seen in my life. When I bought it, there was no mention of which adapter would work, and now they've posted a question and answer link on a suspicious power supply that doesn't have a picture on a critical part. I read a lot of reviews before buying and almost bought the wrong YongNuo for YN600 or 900 - the simple 1 pin connector we all know from laptops. This means that this is YongNuo's first and only LED panel that comes with a new and different power connector that cannot be found anywhere else on the market, so you have to buy the original version at $36 each. According to the instructions it requires 19V and 5A. Which I did since they didn't care about the poor rating when assembled - I breached my warranty and fixed it to work with a universal laptop power supply. I can't return it and I don't want to waste my power supplies I bought for this LED. So I'll show you how to make this thing work with attached photos. Pinout: 1 = dc + 2 = - gnd 3 = TC (useless so I cut and bent the wire) I took this description from what was printed on the board after opening the case to check before I connected something. Also solder a new connector if you have one. I didn't do this, so I just stuffed the #2 negative ground pin with aluminum foil so that it touched the outer ring to improve the connection to my laptop's connector. In the end it didn't have enough grip and I filled the space on pin 3 with hot glue to insulate it and basically have a soft rubber grip and pressure on the connector that would otherwise fall out too easily since the whole block is on power hangs . on topic. Did this with both devices and they made my event a huge success now lasting 4 hours. Overview: The light has a small panel despite the many lights. Therefore, you don't get much soft light. On the other hand, it is very light and handy (without battery). Build quality is good and I usually like the Yongnuo for its light output, which I can't talk about here. The instructions say 9700 lumens, range 15m. The frame is plastic, not metal like some of the heavier competitors. Comfortable on the go. Comes with a remote control and should work with a phone app. The lights have 9 channels, when they are on the same channel you always control all the devices with each knob. Also, if you lighten one block, the other will automatically copy it. Very cool function for even illumination, which primarily saves manual adjustment time and walkways. The supplied remote control regulates the brightness and controls the lighting for each channel in the same way. The temperature of the light can be changed using a plastic shield with a magnetic clip, which is very clever. The flags will not fold when the diffuser is installed, the knuckle screws will be blocked by the plastic. Instead of the included handle, you can use any standard 1/4 tripod, sleeve, or monopod to position it.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
