Ignition switch works fine but the terminals are not in the same position as on my 1978 Evinrude Power Pilot. I had to lengthen and reroute the main power wire (B) to avoid contact with the magnet wire (M). , since the factory does not leave much room for manoeuvre. Also, the installation diagram wasn't 100% accurate, which combined with the difficulty in reading the terminal labels meant I didn't connect the switch correctly at first. This ignition switch was not a direct replacement - it is designed to bolt to a panel/plate whereas my original had the above panel/plate fitted. Using the original switch as a template, make a plastic sheet and drill a hole in the center to install the new switch.
