I've only had this Plusivo soldering iron kit for a few days and only used it for about an hour. I can say even if it doesn't work now, it would have already paid for itself ($12). I was able to replace a few capacitors in my flat screen TV, connect my laptop's webcam to a USB cable, and replace my headphones. Socket for two headphones. Got this because I need an iron with a smaller tip to fix my headphone jack. I will say that you should avoid running the iron at full temperature for a long time with a little tip. I recommend lowering the temperature until use and lowering the standby temperature. The small tip is easy to deform, but still works. The solder suction cup actually works great, I have a braid, but I used the tool that came with it and it worked great. They come with a large amount of shrink wrap which I used for the headphones. I think it adds a clean finish. I think the only thing missing is a bit of flux, but for the low price I really can't fault it. Even without it, the solder included in the kit held up well, I'm almost certain that it's a hollow core with rosin. I definitely recommend this product for its convenience and performance.
