Wires are very thin, don't know what gauge but probably around 18. Also no color coding for the trailer (they are white, black, red) , so you need to check the stop/turn before installing. Like many other reviewers, the center light didn't work for me. 2 stars instead of 1 because the light is bright. (Like most LEDs) There is a set in port freight that is cheaper and better quality. The wires are more like 14 gauge wire and are color coded (white, green, tan/white, yellow, brown) for trailer wiring, except they don't have a center light. Skip it and buy cargo at the port and get the center light separately.
