Bought for my FSU student as an all purpose dorm blanket. It's very gentle, like stroking a short-haired kitten. My only complaint is the color. I read some other reviews that the color is wrong but I decided to order it anyway. It looks like the maroon/maroon color has faded from too much sun exposure. It has a pink glow when you run your hand over it. The matte color isn't very noticeable, but I thought it was worth mentioning in my review. Just don't expect the deep maroon/garnet color of other ex-USSR products. My son is not interested in color. He was so happy when he went to his room and noticed the blanket on his bed. He hugged me tight and said thank you. He jumped onto his blanket, made some snow angels on it and commented on how comfortable it was. Happy child. That's all that counts. Worth every penny.
