I bought this line to make 'dummy lines' for the gear I take with me when kayaking (radio, GPS, knives, etc.). It's thin enough not to add bulk to my setup, but strong enough that I don't have to worry about losing anything when flipping it (which happened, and the cable helped hold everything together). My only complaint is that I can never unwind 100ft skeins without tying a giant knot that I have to untie. I wish it was packaged a little differently (maybe wrapped in a card or something) so I don't end up with a mess in my hands from the start.
