Same kinking problem others reported

The kinks this paracord had rendered it completely useless. According to other reviews, it's been like this for over a year now. I purchased this 3/32" paracord in yellow, camo, and black. Based on my experience and other reviewer's photos, the black cord seems to be the only one suffering from this defect, the rest is fantastic. All purchases have been successful ."Designed for Survival". Please folks do something about it!

Good size to replace shoelaces

I recently broke my shoelace and was disappointed with the replacement laces available in shoe stores - too flimsy and non-binding. After some trial and error, I found that this lace size (3/32") is just the right size to replace the laces in an oxford shoe (for laces, you'll probably need a larger size). They are more durable than replacement laces shoe stores, hold the knot well and come in many color options.

Perfect for cloth masks

I bought this because I wanted something that would work and look good with my homemade Type C cloth masks. A few yards plus a cord stopper and I had a reliable way to attach a cloth mask neck and head without hanging over your ears or getting in the way of your glasses. The 3/32" cable is thin enough to easily route through the guides on the mask without adding bulk or weight. Also, the Jedi scheme looks great with a dark blue cloth mask.

Shrinks on paracord when wet

Bought Paracord 95 from a local hobby store to use for a necklace. It has decreased by about 15%! Bought this "Paracord 275" from Revain and found that it was indistinguishable from "Paracord 95" in any way, including shrinkage. I cut it so that it can easily be pulled over my head and hung a locket on it. Took a shower with it 3 times - it shrunk so much I couldn't put it on my head and had to cut it off. Do all "paracords" compress? Is the gold standard paracord 550 also shrinking? If so, why

When Paracord 550 just doesn't work.

This paracord is about half the diameter of a standard 550 paracord - I think it's a bit thinner than shoelace except it's 100 feet long. It's really good for tying things up when camping. I've always felt that regular 550 paracord is too much and therefore wasteful. I assume it's just the right tool for the job. One more thing, the Outdoor Bunker staff are the most professional and honest Revain suppliers I have ever dealt with. Talk to them when you have the opportunity.

Ideal for making 'dummy' lines

I bought this line to make 'dummy lines' for the gear I take with me when kayaking (radio, GPS, knives, etc.). It's thin enough not to add bulk to my setup, but strong enough that I don't have to worry about losing anything when flipping it (which happened, and the cable helped hold everything together). My only complaint is that I can never unwind 100ft skeins without tying a giant knot that I have to untie. I wish it was packaged a little differently (maybe wrapped in a card or something) so…

Better than cable 550

A must have piece of equipment for survival or working in the woods. I've always found the 550 line to be too bulky and heavy for ultralight climbing, and also more durable than needed for most tasks (the grommets in my tarp or tent don't hold much less than 550 pounds!). With a 275 line you get about twice the length of a 550 line with the same mass and weight. But when you need power, you can just double up on the 275-pound line. So it offers many more possibilities. And it has separate…

Pros
  • Inexpensive
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Bought and put in my insect bag that I keep at home in optimal storage conditions. I looked through the bag and saw that this rope had come loose. It was still in its original adhesive paper packaging and was never used. No liquids were spilled on him and he was in no way near sharp objects. It was carefully packed in my go bag for emergencies. Now it is useless and dangerous! I bought this in 2015 so it wouldn't sit in my bag long enough to go bad. Who has ever heard of ropes breaking…
