Review on Fire Maple Personal Cooking Equipment Portable by Jacob Kuntz

The stove was light and compact as advertised, I just wish it would perform as advertised. Took it on an overnight camping trip on the coldest weekend in the area. I was completely SURPRISED! First, the fuel canister was swinging under the product and fuel was leaking EVERYWHERE! As if the leak wasn't bad enough, it also made a hissing noise. I never tried lighting it for fear it might explode. I ended up having to borrow a stove from a friend. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that an inferior fitting was used for the connection between the burner and the fuel canister. It was literally used for the first time. At first I was planning to buy a JetBoil stove, but instead I bought this on a friend's recommendation. I regretted not sticking to my original plan. A friend swears by his Fire Maple and thinks it's probably just a manufacturing defect. Since I trust my friend, I am sending it back for a replacement. If THIS fails, then I'm COMPLETELY DONE with this brand.
