Review on πŸ”Œ DKMUS Wire Cable Wiring Harness: Connector Adaptor Plug for Ford Lincoln Mazda Speakers by John Miller

Revainrating 1 out of 5

NOT ONE ending fits right! BIG waste of time and money!

I gave 1 star because the Ford connector ends fit my car and it's the lowest price you can afford. I'm a retired mechanical engineer and chief mechanic, so I haven't had any issues with the product due to lack of knowledge or experience. Just for reference, this is the 2011 Ford Escape they are going to and my aftermarket speakers are Rockford Fosgate. product/B00GLUZUUI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ] 1. Problem: They look good out of the box, but the crimped sockets that slide over the pin lugs of the additional speakers are WAY small to fit into the lugs to fit on my new speakers. BUT these Rockford Fosgate speakers are the same size as other aftermarket speakers I have so my new speakers weren't an issue. I had to replace all of the crimp connectors on this product with larger ones (fortunately I already had quite a few) to connect to newly purchased speakers. for connection to the factory plug of your vehicle. They are the same shape and plug directly into the factory connector BUT they don't "lock". This connector has a tiny raised tab that must mate with the other tab on the factory connector to connect them together. The protrusion on the plug of this product is in the wrong place. Ford spark plugs have watertight connections and are quite difficult to snap into place (to compress the rubber seal inside the spark plug) so I didn't get nervous having to 'click' in the new spark plugs with pliers. , they never click. I even used a giant 18" pair of pliers with long sliding jaws to squeeze the connector tighter and in the end I managed to push it in even further than the factory connector would normally go in and still it wouldn't snap into place. FACTORY PLUG ENDS IN MY CAR AND SPEAKER CRIMP TERMINALS and that's exactly what this product should save you! Bottom line I spent 2 hours of my time installing them and returning them. The buyer should be warned.
