So this is chrome plated plastic. OK, I don't cry that much. Good enough and it serves a cosmetic purpose. I wanted to test the fit with loose parts before I ever burned myself on something. The hose fits snugly and the valve closes the top fairly well. Wait, I'm using a crimp connection. I add a crush ring and the ring is in no way obscured by the sleeve. This will leave the ferrule and part of the tubing visible above the sleeve. It seems to defeat the purpose. If the top of the sleeve had a wider opening about 1/2 inch deep, it would work as is. I am returning all 6 items ordered.
