It is a stiff mostly plastic case, which is what i wanted. thin on the back and cushioned on the corners. the edges are raised and pretty stiff, so it doesn't feel like your phone will fall out at all in an event of a drop. I really liked the sensibility of that, and it was exactly what I was looking for but.I had a poetic case for my iphone 5 and LOVED it, but this feels cheaper all around. Instead of a hard rubber for the dark lines, it feels more like a soft plastic. The worst was the black edges where you would normally grip the phone. It's a hard cheap plastic feel, and the lines they used for texture cuts into your fingers a bit and it also strangely makes it feel like the phone is trying to twist out of your hands. A couple years ago, I bought a case that had a matte hard rubber feel on the sides so you could. you know. grip the phone.With so many cases out there, I wanted to return this one, but $5.99 return shipping. ugh. I might just try to sand off the side bumps and live with it.
