I wanted it to replace the old small heater in my office. For the price, I was surprised at how many features it has. Oscillation of high and low speed timers. It also has an anti-tip, which is important to me as I have a dog that hangs around my office and I don't want to risk it. You can also set it with a timer that turns it on after a certain number of hours. nice feature as the room will be warm when you get there! Of course, it also has a timer that will stop it after a set number of hours. The remote control also controls all functions and requires AAA batteries. No need to look for those fancy little batteries when he needs a new battery. The heater has a smart feature which I haven't tried yet but seems to keep the temperature within the range you defined. I just received it so I need more time to study it and see how it holds up. But like I said, much better than expected!
