This screen replaces the one we used for three seasons. Fiberglass shielding material is thicker and denser than our old material, making it a higher quality product. The velcro is already attached around the perimeter which is nice because on our old screen the velcro on the velcro snapped apart, fell off and quickly decayed. Velcro and buttons are included for attachment to the frame. I decided to omit the Velcro altogether and staple to the wooden frame instead. The magnets stick well; In combination with the magnets, there are plastic rods in the same channel that prevent the edges from dangling, thus helping the magnets make better contact. An unexpected problem is our favorite magnetically activated door! The door opened and then closed. I ended up attaching the center corners outward so the magnets were farther from the door. It also allows you to peek through the pet door so our dogs know they can still come out until they get used to the screen.
