Works well, but the detection area is not large. Fixed annoying noise problem.

I got this mic because my laptop doesn't have a built in mic. It works well and reception is clear, but you have to be close enough to have an acceptable recording volume. Beyond a foot away, the volume drops off sharply. Note. If you hear a strange buzzing sound during recording, unplug your computer/laptop as the power cord plugged in at the same time may cause interference. It took me some time to figure that out.
